Promises made, promises broken. It’s not like we weren’t all warned.
Direct cash payments.
Aid to small businesses.
Keeping essential frontline workers on the job.
Those are the key elements of my American Rescue Plan.

Biden has only been in office for 24 hours and he’s doing little to rescue America. His new fracking ban has caused gas prices to skyrocket, and he is well on his way to tanking what is left of the American economy.
The union endorsed Biden for president. (https://t.co/q2G5TBTaXs)
Biden has questions to answer. But so does the union leadership.

One of Biden’s many Executive Orders was to stop construction on the Keystone XL pipeline, effective immediately. The pipeline was manned by the United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters, and had already filled 11,000 union jobs. Once the pipeline construction was fully underway, it was scheduled to fill 42,000 jobs.
“The United Association of Union Plumbers and Pipefitters (UA) issued the following statement today following the news that the Biden-Harris Administration plans to rescind the permit and effectively end construction on the Keystone XL pipeline:
“ ‘In revoking this permit, the Biden Administration has chosen to listen to the voices of fringe activists instead of union members and the American consumer on Day 1. Let me be very clear: When built with union labor by the men and women of the United Association, pipelines like Keystone XL remain the safest and most efficient modes of energy transportation in the world. Sadly, the Biden Administration has now put thousands of union workers out of work. For the average American family, it means energy costs will go up and communities will no longer see the local investments that come with pipeline construction,’ said Mark McManus, General President of the United Association.”
Biden cancelled the permit for the Keystone XL Pipeline. Just a stroke of the pen for Joe but now 42,000 union jobs are gone, American independence on oil is gone and we are back to depending on foreign nations. Im looking at every Republican “do-gooder” right now.

Hes going to unite America by putting everyone in the unemployment line and begging the government for money.

The Senate is rushing to confirm Biden’s cabinet nominees, and Senator Ted Cruz grilled Transportation Secretary nominee Pete Buttigieg on Biden’s Keystone XL decision, which falls under the Transportation Secretary’s purview.
” ‘And with the stroke of a pen, President Biden has told those 11,000 workers, those union workers, “Your jobs are gone,” ’ Cruz said during Buttigieg’s confirmation hearing on Thursday morning. ‘Mr. Buttigieg, what do you say to those workers whose jobs have just been eliminated by presidential edict?’ ”
My colleague Nick Arama was on the nose regarding Buttigieg’s weak tea response:
“Can we say ‘learn to code,’ kids? Because that’s sure what it just sounded like. Talk about privilege. This is privilege when you’re sitting there nominated to be Transportation Secretary after being a poor mayor who was horrible when it came to transportation and can’t even begin to connect with people now out of work. But hey, Joe has to pay you back for dropping at a critical point, right?”
It’s condiscending that buttigeg implies that one kind of union job can be replaced by another. As if pipe fitters can learn to build stairs. The elites are clueless, but it doesn’t matter. They hold all the power https://t.co/GvBivtOduz

Yep, they do, and in their mind, the only ones not replaceable are them.
Back in November, President-select Biden promised he’d give Unions increased power:
“ ‘I made it clear to the corporate leaders,’ Biden said during remarks about the U.S. economy in Wilmington, Del. ‘I said ‘I want you to know I’m a union guy. Unions are going to have increased power. They just nodded. They understand. It’s not anti-business. It’s about economic growth.’ “
He even made a show of appointing Union-weak officials to be a part of his cabinet team, which had the AFL-CIO all atwitter. After years of reduced membership, corruption and malfeasance, they saw the opportunity to attain their former glory.
Good luck with that.
It was good optics, which is all this administration seems to excel at. The Union leadership will still get to line their pockets no matter what. It’s the actual Union workers that will suffer.
This is Joe Biden’s version of decency.
